How to enable emoticons on iPad 3

Follow the steps below and you'll be up and running in no time.

On your iPad 3 go to:

  1. Settings
  2. General
  3. Keyboard
  4. International Keyboards
  5. Add New Keyboard
  6. Select "Emoji"

Now reboot your iPad 3 and when it comes back you should see the little globe icon next to the space bar.  Select the globe and you will see your iPad emoticons.

@Veronica - Have you rebooted your phone after following the steps listed above?

Really helpful and easy to follow. Good work!!

It was really easy to set up the emoticons following your directions. The only problem is they're not the ones I want. How can I delete them? Thanks for your help.

My iphone 3G has 4.2.1 version and it is not even updating I want that emoji keyboard in my setting but when I try downloading it, it says "this app not conpatible for this iphone" or says to update software to 5.0 iOS.Help me I'm fed up
